FERGHANA VALLEY:
It is also called a heartland of Uzbekistan it is the most densely
populated part of the country with a majority of ethnic Uzbek's. Ferghana is
the most fertile part of Uzbekistan the crop cultivated is cotton with larger
output. The Chatkal Mountain ranges of the Tian Shan surrounds the valley
from north with the Pamir-Alai in the southern part from where the
Syr Darya River originated through the valley. So the region looks like a huge
bowl shaped. Ferghana valley is one of the big blossoming oases of Central
Asia. That's why Ferghana Valley is called "The Golden Valley".
The valley's best known son is probably Zaheruddin Mohammad Babur
(the great warrior) the last Timurid and the first Mughal, the founder of
India's Mughal Empire in the 16th century.
BUKHARA:
Bukhara is a growing city of Uzbekistan which is beginning from
the 4th century BC. Bukhara enhance treasures of architecture of the before
Mongol's period. The total counting of monuments is above 400. Bukhara is
regarded the largest open air museum in Central Asia. The holy book
Bukhari-sharif's name is originated by this city Bukhara. The name is derived
from sunsikrat language which is actually
vikhara means monastery. Many authors wrote that it
existed already in the 5th millennium BC, when the group of hunters and
fishermen accidentally came to stay in the lower reaches of the
Zerafshan river. In later history, the old city of Bukhara was a part of
Achaemenid Persia, Alexander the Great Empire, the Seleucid domain, the
Greek-Bactrian kingdom, the Kushan empire and the Ephtalites state, the Turkic
kaganate, the Arabic caliphate, the empires of Jenghis Khan and Timurids, the
Shaybanid state.
DJIZAK:
Djizak has too much importance as it is the city on the great Silk
Road with a very fabulous history. Its name meaning is "key" or
"small fort" from Sogdian. Before the Arab separations it
was one of the biggest cities of Ustrushana. Today it is one of provincial centers of
Uzbekistan.
For the tourists who love nature, Djizak is a perfect place among
the Turkestan ranges, comprising southeastern part of the Golodny Steppe and
the fringes of the Kyzylkum Desert. The Aidorkul water reserve increases the
beauty of this region, providing a temporary base for migrating groups of birds
to and from Siberia, using this place as a huge bird planet in spring.
